Cycle Station is a not for profit social enterprise and company limited by guarantee which was set up to help communities overcome barriers towards cycling.
Working closely with key partners such as Scottish Power Renewables, Cycling UK and Whitelee Countryside Rangers, Cycle Station currently operates at two sites including bike hire / sales at Whitelee Windfarm, East Renfrewshire and a refurbished bike shop and mechanics training workshop in Newmilns, East Ayrshire.
We accept donations of unwanted or unloved bikes and use the bikes to train cycle mechanics to community groups and individuals before donating or reselling them at affordable prices back to the community. Donations can be handed in to Whitelee (during summer season) or Newmilns or can be picked up by appointment.
We also have a fleet of bikes, ebikes and balance bikes available for hire for extenal events.
Have you got some spare time to get involved? We are always looking for volunteers who want to make a difference to their local community. Whether you’re interested in cycle mechanics, ride/walk leader, first aid, marketing, admin or just want to get involved with a great group of people, please get in touch. No experience is necessary as full training and support will be provided.
Looking for a new bike? Have a look at our refurbished bikes, all are certified by our qualified mechanics and the selection is available to view at our Newmilns shop or at Whitelee Windfarm with prices starting from £15 for kids bikes and £30 for adults bikes.
Bikes at Whitelee are all marked with 'W' in the top right corner. All other bikes are at Newmilns.
